Why We Need Pollinators

Many pollinators are now under threat due to loss of habitat, non-native plants and pesticides. Without these species, we will lose most of our flowers, fruits, vegetables and other essential plant life.

Join Silver Creek Park Pollinator Project with Etobicoke Master Gardeners for a free event - Sustainable Gardening: Climate-Resilient Gardening.

 

The presenter will share the keys to building a climate resilient garden: how to select plants with a focus on native plants, what plants need to thrive, how to prepare your soil, watering strategies, understanding your climate, considerations of climate change, trends in sustainable gardening and more.
